(ANS – Mumbai) – The Don Bosco Social Development Services (DBSDS) Centre for Social Development Services in Nerul celebrated International Women’s Day by paying tribute to women who have successfully completed various skills development formation courses, reaffirming its commitment to supporting women from vulnerable communities through vocational formation. The event included the presentation of certificates to women who completed courses in tailoring, aesthetics, nail art, hairdressing and make-up. 

The initiative aims to provide women with practical skills to pursue sustainable livelihoods with confidence and dignity.The programme was honoured by the presence of Ms Swapna Gawade, Member of the Navi Mumbai Municipal Council, and Dr Ashwini Jadhav of the Navi Mumbai Rotary Club. Fr Barnabe D’Souza, Director of Don Bosco Nerul, welcomed the dignitaries and delivered the opening address, officially opening the celebration. The skills development programmes run by DBSDS Nerul are primarily designed for women from migrant and economically disadvantaged communities.
